Pond deicers are used to keep a small hole open in the ice during freezing conditions. This small hole allows potentially harmful gas to escape from the pond water. The gas is caused by decomposing leaves, dead algae, fish waste, etc. and will become lethal if levels become too high under the ice. Maintaining a small opening in the ice will vent the gas during the winter.

1. LA1 KLC Koi Pond Aeration Kit – 1000 to 7500 gallon ponds. Uses only 23 watts!For ponds 1000-7500 gallons (Fish load, filtration capacity and other factors affect actual pond maximum pond size). Maximum depth 6′

Kit includes:

KLC25 compressor with 6′ power cord

One rubber membrane diffuser

25′ of 3/8″ Quick Sink tubing

Connectors and fittings

2. LA2 KLC Koi Pond Aeration Kit – 2000 to 15000 gallon pond. Uses only 36 watts! For ponds 2000-15000 gallons (Fish load, filtration capacity and other factors affect actual pond maximum pond size)

Maximum depth 6′

Kit includes:

KLC40 compressor with 6′ power cord

Two rubber membrane diffusers

50′ of 3/8″ Quick Sink tubing

Two Valve air splitter, connectors and fittin

3. EPA1 2 Watt .3 CFM Output Ornamental Pond Aerator/Deicer. 115 volt compressor draws only 2 watts and will operate up to 4′ deep. Compressors on EPA1 aerators need to be protected from the weather.

Kit includes compressor, 30′ vinyl tubing and air diffuser

4. EPA2 Dual Diffuser Ornamental Pond Aerator/Deicer Kit. 115 volt compressor draws only 3 watts and will operate up to 5′ deep. Compressors in EPA2 kit need to be protected from the weather. Flow control built in to compressor. Kit includes compressor, two rolls of 30′ vinyl tubing and two air diffuser.

5. EPA4 Dual Diffuser Ornamental Pond Aerator/Deicer Kit. 115 volt compressor draws only 5 watts and will operate up to 5′ deep. Compressors in EPA4 kit need to be protected from the weather. Flow control built in to compressor. Kit includes compressor, four rolls of 30′ vinyl tubing and four air diffusers.
